What's on in Cheshire

Our Force Open Day is always a family friendly event, and we want to make sure as many people as possible from communities across Cheshire can come along to our headquarters and enjoy the day.
Some people may be put off for fear of crowds and sensory overload, and with this in mind we are this year introducing a dedicated ‘Quiet Hour’ from 10.30am-11.30am.
This is aimed to help members of the community who may have social anxiety or may be parents of children who have Autism and fear of sensory over-stimulation.
A limited number of tickets will be released for this dedicated Quiet Hour and will be primarily aimed at members of the community with Autism, but can also include those with mobility issues or other medical/neurodiverse conditions whereby a quieter visit will be a much more enjoyable experience.
The Quiet Hour will run from 10.30am-11.30am. Following this general admissions will be allowed entry to the Open Day.
Some features of the Quiet Hour include:
· No flashing lights, alarms, TVs,
· Limited High Visibility uniform/equipment
· Quiet areas
· Limited capacity
· Clear Signposting
· Sensory Room/area
· Staff on hand to guide through the events/exhibits
