Miss Tarry -

Our Nursery Curriculum - We provide a range of stimulating activities indoors and out to help your child learn and develop and achieve the outcomes of the Early Years Foundation Stage. For more information, please speak to Mrs Jenkins, Nursery Manager or visit

Earwig - When your child starts nursery, we will show you how to access Earwig, our school tracker, which allows you to see how your child is progressing via your smartphone or tablet.

Home Learning - We believe in working closely with parents to support children's learning at home too. We provide regular activities to help your child learn via a 'Learning Together' book.

Opening Hours - Nursery is open from 8.45 am - 11.45 am for children attending in the morning and from 12.30 pm - 3.30pm in the afternoons.

Attendance - Regular attendance is really important to help your child get the best our of their nursery experience. If your child is not well enough to attend, please let us know via email or telephone using the contact details above. If we do not hear from you, school will contact you as part of our Safeguarding Policy.

Sharing Information - You will receive a Weekly Update via email with information about your child's activities in nursery and news of special events. More information is available via our webpages and Parents' Noticeboards.

German - Each week your child will be able to learn a new language through fun, interactive activities and songs delivered by our school Language Specialist, Mr Nigel Pearson.

Physical Education - We offer weekly PE sessions on Mondays delivered by our school PE Specialist, Mrs Jenny Holland. PE Kit isn't necessary, but we advise sending your child in clothes like joggers or leggings that won't restrict their movement and shoes or trainers with velcro straps which are easy for them to take on and off.

School Uniform  can be purchased online if desired. Please speak to the school office if you need help with this. However, any comfortable clothes are fine:  clothes which are easy for children to pull up and down make toileting easier.

Snack Money - Children are given a healthy snack each day such as fresh fruit or vegetables and crackers. We ask for a voluntary contribution of £12 per term towards the cost which can be paid via your school Arbor account. Please speak to the office staff if you need help with this.

Water Bottles - We ask that you provide a named, plastic water bottle so that your child can access a drink whenever they wish. We do not recommend fruit juice in accordance with school healthy eating guidelines.

Toys - We strongly suggest that any toys are left at home as children may become upset if they are lost.
